The Towelmag is a unique pencil like design of magnetic central heating filter. It simply replaces the blanking cap, with no draining down or cutting out of pipework required. It is the quickest, easiest and cheapest filtration device you can fit to a central heating system perfect for removing black steel sludge "magnetite". Perfect for where a combi is fitted in a cupboard and there is no room often the pipes go straight into the wall.

To clean the sludge from the magnet turn the radiator valves off and vent off any pressure within the radiator using the air/bleed screw. Remove the Towelmag and slide off the mesh protective sleeve into some paper kitchen towel, rinse the sleeve and magnet and replace. You can also drain off 500ml of water using manometer pipe to add rust inhibitor solution at the same time, an empty bottle is ideal for draining off the right amount.
