They are handmade in Great Britain for customers seeking a reliable, strong and slimline design, combined with trusted copper and brass for ultimate longevity and the best overall value for money.
The filter bodies are made from premium quality 42mm x 1.2mm table X copper pipe soldered to two brass valve fittings. Many rare earth neodymium iron boron magnets are encased within a sealed stainless steel pipe of 220mm long. Our suppliers have over 50 years magnetic material sourcing and build experience, they are a blue chip company who supply the motor trade, food industry and medical world. The total length of the filter is 375mm and approx 330mm of pipe needs to be removed for a super quick and very simple installation, offsets of 10mm will ease servicing.
To install the filters approx 230mm of 22mm pipe must be removed for the 120 models and 330mm for the 220 models. The total length of each filter is 275mm and 375mm respectively.
The ends of each of the magnetic elements are not magnetic, this is to allow water to flow in and out of the units, the magnetic flux field width and design has been specifically engineered and calculated to prevent blockages occuring and have been fully tested. The fully loaded magnetic element is approx 32mm in diameter and the internal bore is 39.6mm, providing a cross sectional free flow area of 525mm sq, the valves on a standard central heating boiler are around 16mm bore diameter or 200mm sq csa. The csa flow area of the smaller washer on the end of the magnet is 410mm sq and the csa of 22mm pipe is 320mm sq. They are therefore non restricting with flow and cannot block. They have also been flow tested and are admired by our customers, please take a look at the fully loaded magnet in the video.
Our filters are truely in-line, and provide high flow rates, resist high temperatures and pressures and are designed and hand made in our small workshop in Mansfield. They are also fully protected at the I.P.O.
They can be fitted in a vertical or horizontal plane and are really easy to fit and clean, the brass joints will always be easy to loosen. To clean the filters, simply close the valves, remove the drain valve and loosen off the top valve nut first if fitted vertically, if fitted horizontally the unit can be loosened and rotated slightly to aid draining down, loosen the nut nearest the drain valve first. Clean the filter out annually, when the heating water is cool, ideally when the boiler is being serviced.
CLEANING Rotate the copper 42mm sleeve slowly and the element will fall out into your hand, place a plastic bag over the element and grasp around the rod at the top and draw the bag and dirt down the element and into the bag. Rinse the housing/sleeve, rubber washers and magnet assembly then re-assemble.
The solid brass UK made housing nuts are turned on multi spindle, double headed lathes. They are cleaned and soldered using special jigs, to premium quality Wednesbury 42mm BSI copper of table X pipe by hand, to form a simple and very reliable magnet housing that you can remove and undo time and time again.
Each filter comes with fitting instructions and a warranty registration card, they represent unbeatable value for money.
Pump type larger grips are ideal for super easy stress free fitting and cleaning.
All filter units carry a "No quibble 30 day money back guarantee" to ensure you are fully satisfied with your purchase, we know that you will be more than happy for tens of years to come, think carefully.
