The Pipefilter Pro-Series 120 White - 22mm
Smart, very reliable and made to last, our magnetic central heating filters catch and remove lots of harmful black steel sludge from dirty heating system. We are so confident of the quality of our handbuilt heating system filters we supply them with a 7yr guarantee, they represent unbeatable value for money and are the most slimline and reliable magnetic filter.
Every filter is handmade in Great Britain and engineered to last decades, ideally suited for councils, housing associations and customers seeking a smarter design, combined with trusted copper and brass for ultimate reliability, and unbeatable value for money.
The magnet housing or body is made from premium quality copper and brass, the magnetic element is powered by many rare earth neodymium iron boron magnets (NeFeB) encased within a sealed stainless steel pipe of 120mm long, as used in the food processing industry. Our suppliers have over 50 years experience of magnetic material sourcing and construction know how, they are a blue chip company who supply the motor trade, food industry and medical world. The total length of the 120 filter is 275mm and approx 230mm of pipe must be removed for a super quick and very simple installation.
You will need to remove approx 230mm of 22mm pipe for the 120 model and 330mm for the 220 model. The total length of each filter is 275mm and 375mm respectively.
When installing the filters to a clipped pipe run a 6mm or more offset is required for easier servicing, you can also use a pair of elbows and male to female elbows (street elbows) to bring the filter away from the wall.
If the boiler's flow and return pipes drop down to feed the boiler, the 120 filter's can be easily fitted horizontally across the front of the boiler on elbows facing forwards approx 250mm below the valves
The ends of each of the magnetic elements are not magnetic, this is to allow water to flow in and out of the units, the magnetic flux field width and design has been specifically engineered and calculated to prevent blockages occuring and have been fully tested. The fully loaded magnetic element is approx 32mm in diameter and the internal bore is 39.6mm, providing a cross sectional free flow area of 525mm sq. Note, the ball valves on a standard central heating boiler are around 16mm diameter or 200mm sq csa. The csa of our smallest magnet element washer is 410mm sq therefore, they will not block, please take a look at the half loaded magnet in the video
Our filters are truely in-line, and provide high flow rates in the flow or return, they resist high temperatures and pressures and are hand made, they are fully protected at the I.P.O.
They can be fitted in a vertical or horizontal plane and are really easy to fit and clean, the brass joints will always be easy to loosen and difficult to cross-thread!. To clean the filters, simply close the valves, remove the drain valve and loosen off the top valve nut first if fitted vertically, if fitted horizontally the unit can be loosened and rotated to speed up draining down. Clean the filter out annually, when the heating water is cool, ideally when the boiler is being serviced.
Rotate the copper magnetic housing slowly and the magnetic element will fall out into your hand, place a plastic bag over the element and grasp around the rod at the top and draw the bag and dirt down the element and into the bag. Rinse the housing/sleeve, rubber washers and magnet assembly then re-assemble.
The solid brass UK made housing nuts are turned on multi spindle, double headed lathes. They are cleaned and soldered using special jigs, to premium quality Wednesbury 42mm BSI copper of table X pipe specification by hand, to form a simple and very reliable magnet housing.
For extra peace of mind they are suppled with a 7 year guarantee and registration card, they represent unbeatable value for money.
Pump type grips are ideal for super easy fitting and cleaning.
All our magnetic filters are supplied with a "No quibble 30 day money back guarantee" to ensure you are fully satisfied with your purchase, we know you will be more than happy!
Pay cheap, pay twice, copper and brass made to last!

I'm not a plumber, but it is much easier on the eye as it is not as big as all the other cleaners. Ask me again in a years time when my boiler is due it's first service and then we will see if it is working as well as it should.
